Longview High School was evacuated Friday afternoon after an alleged bomb threat directed at the campus.
Longview Police Department reportedly received a threat from a 'TracFone' disposable cellphone, and authorities immediately contacted campus and district administration.
Campus staff started their bomb threat protocols and made a sweep of Lobo Stadium. Once it was deemed safe, students and staff were evacuated to Lobo Stadium.
No one was allowed in any building until it was completely swept and deemed 100 percent safe. Students were cleared to return to campus at approximately 2 p.m.
District officials are following the lead of Longview Police Department as they investigate this matter and will provide updates as we have more information.
