The Longview High School Athletic Department and Lobo Football Booster Club will celebrate NFL superstar Trent Williams by retiring his jersey during the Green and White Game 5 p.m. May 16th at Lobo Stadium.
Athletic Director John King said Trent and his family are expected to be in attendance at the event.
'Trent's on-field performance is just a small part of the reason he is being recognized in this way,' he said. 'While he's certainly one of the premiere linemen in the NFL today, he's an even bigger hero to Longview in how he continues to support his school and invest in his community.'
Williams' #71 jersey number will only be the second one retired at Longview High, the first being Bobby Taylor's #24 retired in 2008.
