This spring, voters will have the opportunity to cast ballots for representatives to serve on the Longview ISD Board of Trustees.
Early Voting is set for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 23 to May 1 at the LISD Education Support Center boardroom, 1301 East Young Street. Election Day is set for 7 a.m.-7p.m. May 5.
Place 1 trustee Dr. Mark Camp has withdrawn from running for re-election. Running for his spot is Michael Tubb. Voters in Place 1 will cast their Election Day ballots at Judson Middle School, 5745 Judson Rd.
Dr. Camp's statement on stepping down from the board:
Place 3 trustee Dr. Chris Mack is unopposed. Dr. Mack has served on the board since being elected in 1993. Voters in Place 3 will cast their Election Day ballots at Forest Park Middle School, 1644 N. Eastman Rd.
Place 7 trustee Dr. Troy Simmons is opposed by LaRaslum Williams. Dr. Simmons has served on the board since being elected in 1986. Voters in Place 7 will cast their Election Day ballots at Broughton Recreation Center, 801 S Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Longview ISD trustees are elected to serve three-year terms.
