Summer food program provides free breakfast, lunch

School's out for summer and Longview ISD's Summer Child Nutrition Program begins Monday, June 5th and will continue through 24th at select locations.

Longview ISD provides, nutritional meals for FREE to all children 18 and under. This is part of a government program provided by the USDA to fill meal gaps for children of low income families. Two meals (breakfast and lunch) are served each weekday at no cost to the families.

All children between the ages of 1 and 18 are welcome to come enjoy breakfast and lunch at any of the locations listed below.

Meals will be provided at the following locations :

  • Montessori Academy: June 4-29, Monday-Friday

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Lunch: 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Bramlette Elementary: June 11-25, Monday-Thursday

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Lunch: 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Ware Elementary: June 4 to Aug. 3, Monday-Friday

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Lunch: 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Longview High: June 4 to July 31, Monday-Thursday; Aug. 1-24, Monday-Friday

Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be no summer feeding the week of Independence Day (July 2-6). Food will be provided on all other dates listed.
