Longview ISD has released the official schedule for the Junior Science Fair and District Science Fair set for Feb. 10-11.
Junior Science Fair Schedule
Feb. 10, at Forest Park Middle School
8:10 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. Student registration and project set-up
8:55 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Welcome, with brief overview of the day
9:35 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Students break up into groups
9:50 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. 3rd Grade Judging and face painting, 4th Grade Sci-Port Fun
10:55 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Rotate groups
11:05 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. 3rd Grade Sci-Port Fun, 4th Grade judging and face painting
12:10 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Lunch: LISD will provide sack lunches
12:50 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. Awards Ceremony
1:20 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Remove projects and load buses
District Science Fair Schedule
Feb. 10-11 at Lobo Coliseum
FRIDAY
4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Early project drop-off in the foyer. Projects will be accepted until 6 p.m.
SATURDAY
8 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. Student registration and project set-up
8:05 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. Judges orientation (continental breakfast provided)
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Project judging: ALL students must be standing at their projects no later than 9 a.m. ONLY participants, judges, and Science Fair personnel will be permitted. Parents are not allowed inside the coliseum during this time. Once students have been judged twice they can leave out of the coliseum.
12:05 p.m. - 1 p.m. Break for lunch
1:10 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Awards Ceremony (all students present)
1:50 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Exhibit viewing (open to public)
2:35 p.m. - 3 p.m. Remove projects (Longview ISD is not responsible for forgotten projects.)
Lobo Coliseum is located on the campus of Longview High School, 201 East Tomlinson Parkway. Forest Park Middle School is located at 1644 North Eastman Road.
