Longview High School's Class of 2019 Valedictorian is Nitin Rangu, and Salutatorian is Ejehi Ihionkhan.
Nitin will attend the University of Oklahoma. Ejehi will attend Yale University.
The Top 2 percent of the Class of 2019 includes (in alphabetical order): Amanda Dominguez, Allison Howe, Ejehi Ihionkhan, Nitin Rangu, Morgan Roberts, Kathryn Roper, Payton Schaap, Wyatt Scott, Magdalen Shen, Alyssa Shobert, Samantha Taylor, Anna Ward.
With some offers still pending, scholarships total $8,530,705 for 581 seniors, according to Kay Ray, Longview High School’s coordinator of college scholarships and financial aid.
LHS graduation ceremonies start at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 17, at Lobo Stadium. Gates will open for seating at 6 p.m. For the third year in a row, Longview ISD is providing a live video stream of the entire event for those unable to attend in person.
Viewers need only to click lisd.org/lhs/live to watch the entire event, from the opening procession of graduates into the stadium to the final triumphant throwing of the mortarboard caps.
Graduation ceremonies will begin at 7:30 p.m. May 17 at Lobo Stadium in Longview.
