The city's second-largest employer, Longview ISD has posted a steady increase in enrollment over the last few years and is looking to fill approximately 50 positions.
Human Resources director Mr. John York said the district is seeking certified and highly-qualified teachers in all subjects, including critical need areas like Math, Science, Spanish and Bilingual Education, as well as Social Studies, Reading, and Language Arts.
'We are hiring for elementary and secondary staff, and professional positions across the district,' he said.
Mr. York invited job seekers to fill out an application online at LISD.org and to attach the appropriate materials to their application.
'We're asking for copies of their resume, transcripts, teaching certificates, and three letters of recommendation,' he said.
