Hudson PEP Elementary has been honored by the Education Results Partnership (ERP) as a 2017-18 Honor Roll school for high academic performance.

The 2017-18 Texas Honor Roll, presented by ERP and the Institute for Productivity in Education, recognizes public K-8 and high schools for demonstrating consistently higher levels of student academic achievement, improvement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps among ethnic minority and socioeconomically disadvantaged students.

Hudson PEP Principal Sue Wilson credited her staff, students, and many parent volunteers for cultivating such a rich learning environment for the children to excel.

'This honor is a testament to the hard work of many people working together,' she said. 'It's a credit to what we try and do for our young people at Hudson PEP.'

Superintendent Dr. James Wilcox said he is proud to have campuses recognized by education and business leaders across the state.

'Our teachers and administrators work tirelessly to keep the focus on high expectations and student academic achievement and to continuously improve our practices,' he said. 'This hard work and dedication is paying off for all of our students, no matter their background.'
