The Longview ISD Foundation is once again offering Major Saver cards for sale through the elementary and middle schools. Elementary school students will be selling $15 cards with 20 Buy-One-Get-One Free offers starting Thursday, April 13th through Wednesday, May 3rd.
Major Saver cards can also be purchased and credited to a student through the Major Saver App. Once the free app is downloaded to an Android or iOS device, buyers can choose a Major Saver card through the “buy cards” tab on the app. Once the buyer completes the transaction the offers will be stored in the Major Saver App. Buyers can then redeem offers directly from the app and do not need a physical card.
Please consider purchasing a Major Saver card from a Longview student. The proceeds from these sales will benefit the participating schools and the Longview ISD Foundation. Proceeds from the sales of the discount cards directly support the participating schools and the grant programs of the Longview ISD Foundation. Last year, the Foundation and participating schools raised $9,000 through the sale of Major Saver cards.
Since 1996, the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. has returned $730,000 to Longview ISD classrooms and campuses through its annual Great Rewards for Great Ideas Grant Program and Campus Initiative Grant Program.
The 2017 participating restaurants and businesses include: Sam’s Club (receive a $10 gift certificate with a new Sam’s Club membership); Air U Trampoline Park (buy one jump pass and get one free); Skinners Grocery and Market ($5 off a $50 purchase); Buffalo Wild Wings ($5.00 off any food purchase of $25 or more); Golden Corral ($5.00 off any $20.00 purchase); Smallcakes (buy one cupcake and get one free); Applebee’s (buy one entrée and drink and get an appetizer free); El Rincon (buy one number one lunch and get one free); The Catch (free hushpuppy appetizer); Golden Chick (buy one Real Deal and get one free); Shipley Donuts (buy one dozen donuts and get six free); Johnny’s Pizza (buy one 12/14” pizza and get an appetizer free); Denny’s (buy one entrée and two drinks and get one entrée free); The Corner Bakery (buy any entrée and get a dessert free); Domino’s Pizza (buy any large three topping pizza at regular price and get a one topping medium pizza free); Sonic (buy one cheeseburger and get one free); Little Mexico (buy one Juarez dinner and get one free); Jersey Mike’s (buy any sub and get a bag of chips and drink free); Panda Express (buy a two entrée plate and get a third entrée free); Cici’s Pizza (buy one adult buffer and two 32 ounce drinks and get one buffet free); Smoothie King (buy one 32 ounce smoothie and get a 20 ounce free).
The savings on this card far exceed the cost of the card.
Major Saver stresses safe selling and discourages door to door campaigning. The company encourages students to sell to parents, grandparents, church patrons, other adults the family may know and to always make sure their parents are involved.
