Hey Longview ISD families, can you believe that the start of school is already right around the corner? Longview ISD will start classes on Monday, Aug. 16. But even before the first day of school, we have a lot of valuable information to share with you!
Registration
Through our new enrollment process, families can enroll online. Families of existing students who did not complete the intent to enroll or a choice application in Round 1 may still do so by logging onto ChooseLISD.org, click “Apply to Your School” and follow the instructions on the screen. Families will not be allowed to register for the school year before completing this step.
Once existing families receive the approval for admissions email, they may complete registration in Skyward Family Access at www.lisd.org/student. Families new to LISD may visit to create a Skyward account and register their student(s) for the approved campus at www.lisd.org/skyenroll. Please contact the Choose LISD Welcome Center at (903) 381-2296 with questions or to request assistance with the application process.
If you do not have access to the internet, you may enroll on your student’s campus. Please provide the following documents to your students campus during the in person registration dates: current proof of residence such as a gas bill, electric bill, or lease agreement with children listed as members of household and parent’s ID (Drivers license with photo). The in person registration dates are listed below, if those times do not work for you please contact your student’s campus or the ESC Welcome Center at 903-381-2296.
Transportation
We are in need of bus drivers and monitors for the upcoming school year. If you are interested, please visit https://w3.lisd.org/careers/ and apply online.
The Longview ISD transportation department is attempting to make contact with bus riders for the upcoming school year in order to begin gathering addresses. This will give us a head start on creating bus routes in order to assure we are ready for LISD students on the first day of school. If you would take a moment to answer this short survey we would greatly appreciate your assistance. SURVEY: https://forms.gle/
School Supplies
Campuses will be purchasing school supplies for their students again this year. Families will only have to provide a backpack. If families need assistance obtaining a backpack, we will list back to school events that help families with this need. For ETAA (ETMPA, Bramlette, JMQ, JLE, Ware, and Forest Park) campuses, clear backpacks will be required. If you need assistance locating a clear backpack, please contact your campus.
Dress Codes
Specific information about uniform requirements is available at each individual campus. Please contact your student's campus directly for complete information about dress code policy. You can also check the website at w3.lisd.org/parents/school-
