Meet The Teacher Nights:
Campuses are hosting Meet the Teacher nights throughout the first few weeks of August. For our 6th grade families, each of our middle schools are hosting an orientation “camp” before classes begin to help students kick off the school year. Our secondary campuses (middle schools & high school) will host meet the teacher nights after school begins in order to accommodate schedule changes.
Back To School Events:
JaMycal Hasty Back to School Celebration: In collaboration with the JaMycal Hasty’s foundation, BareHandz Foundation, Longview ISD will host a back to school celebration at Foster Middle School on August 5 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. This celebration will have FREE gift cards to purchase uniforms, hygiene packs, gift cards and giveaways, backpacks, and haircuts.
The BareHandz Foundation Back to School celebration will also have Kona Ice, Das Turkey Legs and Gino’s Tacos on site. Families can also drop off gently used uniforms and hygiene products for campus uniform closets. We will also have booths for Boys & Girls Club, Thrive Longview, Queens Academy and Just Keep Livin’ to register students for after school programs. There might even be a Lobo mascot or two roaming the halls to take photos with students.

Wray Wade Back to School Celebration: As a birthday wish, Wray Wade is kindly asking the city of Longview to volunteer their time and skills to contribute in making this event a success. Please use the contact information below for all donations. Your support is greatly appreciated!
GREEN OUT:
Announcing the 22nd Annual Lobo Green Out T-Shirt Sale! Online Sale Opened Monday, July 10, 2023! The annual Green Out game is Friday, September 8, at 7:30 PM when the Lobos host the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders for the home opener.
By purchasing a Green Out t-shirt, you are helping the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. support LISD educators and students through its three grant programs while also showing your Lobo pride. To date, the Foundation has returned $1,042,092.00 to LISD classrooms and campuses to enhance educational opportunities for all students.
The online sale for the all new 2023 Green Out t-shirt opened on Monday, July 10, at www.lisdfoundation.org. To purchase online, click on the t-shirt sale announcement under Events on the right-hand side of the home page. https://www.lisdfoundation.
All children’s sizes, youth extra small through youth large, are $15 each. All adult sizes, small through 4XL, are $20 each. Please remember that larger adult sizes sell out very fast.
Please indicate where the Longview ISD Foundation should deliver the shirt(s). Shirts will be delivered to LISD campuses before school begins or during the first week of school. One of the delivery locations is the Longview ISD athletic office on Hawkins Parkway where Lobo football tickets are sold.
The Longview ISD Foundation will also sell the all new Green Out t-shirt during the week of July 31-August 4 at the LISD athletic office when Lobo football season tickets go on sale and at the LISD Convocation on Friday, August 4.
The Foundation members are also making plans now to sell at campus registrations and back-to-school nights.
