Summer Camp STOCK PHOTO

We know you are all excited to have your students home for the summer, but do you have activities planned? We have compiled a list of area summer camps to help keep your students engaged, active, and happy throughout the summer.

Summertime in Longview means something different for every student. Some go on vacation, some visit out-of-state family members, and then there are others who go to camp. The Longview area is full of summer activities for kids with a variety of interests—including academics.

You’re sure to find an academic camp on this list that will fit your kid’s interests. Whether it’s music, dance, science, or math—we’ve got some great options. The one aspect they all have in common is that they make learning super fun.

Longview Public Library Summer Reading program

Sign up for Summer Reading Club and Adult Summer Reading Club! Help us beat our signup goals for the year and celebrate "All Together Now!" Share reading. Share kindness. There's still a bit of time before the official SRC starts (June 5), and it helps to get registered early so you're prepped and ready! Summer Reading Club kicks off with a party on the library’s Eastman Plaza on Friday, June 2 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Summer Reading Club is FREE to the public and registration is open online, at the library, and continues throughout the program.

Kids/Teens (ages 0 -17):
Guardians, sign your kids and teens up online using Beanstack and keep track of their reading goals and logging in one place! You can also sign them up in person at the children's department desk, and request a paper log to keep track of reading goals old school style! When SRC officially starts on June 5, kids can earn weekly prizes for reading!

Get all the sign up details on our website:  LongviewTexas.Gov/SRC

Adults (ages 18+):
Sign up online using Beanstack and you can keep track of your reading logs, and automatically submit for weekly raffles when ASRC starts!

You're also welcome to come sign up at the library front desk during business hours.

Adults who get registered for ASRC May 1 - June 2 can come in and claim a FREE goodie bag with summer treats for getting signed up! There's a limited amount, first come, first serve. Some of them might have an extra treat in them (*cough-giftcard-cough*).

Each class is built around a nature-themed curriculum, and includes:
