All campuses, offices closed for Spring Break from March 11-15

Longview ISD will be closed for Spring Break starting Monday, March 11, with all campuses and district offices shuttered through March 15.

Classes are scheduled to resume and facilities will reopen on March 18, and the district's regular school bus routes will also resume that day.

Spring Break for Texas public schools is set by the Texas Education Agency based on instructions from the state legislature. Many districts align their calendars for the week-long recess in March.

Longview ISD employs more than 1,000 faculty and staff, and the district spans portions of Gregg and Harrison counties in East Texas, drawing from the city of Longview and surrounding rural areas.
