Longview ISD is seeking judges for its elementary and middle school UIL Academics contests, as well as its district science fair.
The UIL elementary academic meet will be held Saturday, Jan. 27 at The Clarence Bailey School. Events, running 8 a.m. to noon, include storytelling and oral reading.
The UIL middle school contest is set for Friday, Feb. 23 at Judson STEAM Academy. Speaking events, scheduled 8 a.m. to noon, are oral reading, impromptu speaking and modern oratory. Information is available at uiltexas.org/academics.
Judges are also needed for the LISD Science Fair on Saturday, Jan. 13, 9 a.m. to noon at the LHS Coliseum. Projects from fifth-graders and middle and high school students will be displayed.
