"Why is my name and address posted on the website after I voted?"
Posting voter names and addresses online after casting an early voting ballot is a requirement from the state of Texas, not a policy set by the City of Longview or Longview ISD. However, local entities must comply with Texas Election Code Sec. 87.121.
If you voted early in person, your name, address, and other information must be posted by 11 a.m. the following day. For mail ballots, it's posted by 11 a.m. the day after the early voting clerk receives your ballot.
For any other questions about the election please contact the Gregg County Elections Office at 903-236-8458.
