About The Firm

JG Consulting is a Georgetown-based education leadership search firm founded in 2014. They have conducted over 160 superintendent searches across the state, serving districts from small rural communities to major metropolitan areas.

Current Superintendent

Dr. James Wilcox has served as Longview ISD's superintendent since 2007 after previously leading Waxahachie ISD. Last year he announced plans to retire effective December 2025.

Under Dr. Wilcox's tenure, Longview ISD established new academic programs including International Baccalaureate and Montessori. The district also expanded career and technical education offerings, becoming a destination for high-achieving students, families and education professionals.
