Longview Independent School District is an award-winning public 6A school district based in Longview, Texas. In addition to serving the greater Longview area, the district serves the city of Lakeport, most of Easton, and rural areas in eastern Gregg County.

  • Hudson PEP now accepting applications for enrollment

    Applications are being accepted at Hudson PEP Elementary School for the 2018-19 school year. Deadline is Feb. 16 for students entering 1st grade next year, and April 27 for students entering 2nd through 5th grades.

  • District-wide science fair set for Feb. 17

    Longview ISD students in grades 5th through 12th will meet Feb. 17 at Lobo Coliseum for the annual STEM Fair (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to compete for a chance to advance to the Regional Science Fair in Kilgore.

    The Lobo Football Booster Club will host the annual Lobo Football Banquet 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Mobberly's Elevation building, located at 625 E. Loop 281 in Longview.

    In an effort to once again improve quality of life and enhance community spirit, Keep Longview Beautiful and the City of Longview’s Sanitation and Recycling Divisions are rolling out another art contest for students in Longview in grades K-12.

  • Board approves 2018-19 District calendar

    The school year is far from over, but next year's schedule is now in place. Classes will begin Aug. 27, 2018 and end May 31, 2019.

  • Teachers awarded $1 million in performance-based bonuses

    Longview ISD is awarding $1 million in incentive pay for high achieving teachers and campus staff, a marked increase from the $820,000 it paid out last year—more than double the $350,000 paid out in 2014-15, the first year of the LIFT program.
