District Data Analyses

State and Federal Compliance provides the district and schools with statistical reports needed to ensure compliance with state and federal mandates. With the No Child Left Behind's emphasis on increased statistical reporting and compliance monitoring by the state, the bureau produces a wide variety of reports including the Academic Excellence Indicator System Report and Student Disciplinary Action Report. The bureau serves as a liaison with other district departments to coordinate data collection and publication efforts, and with state and federal agencies to assure that data reporting mandates are met and used to benefit the educational mission of the district. Reports are distributed to schools, the administrative district offices, the Superintendent, and Board members, and guidance is provided in understanding, interpreting and applying this information to improve instructional programs

AEIS Reports Now the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR)
This report addresses academic performance, student and teacher demographics, budget data, and program figures for all Longview ISD schools along with a district and statewide overview.
 
District/School Profiles Reports
Student performance and outcomes, demographics, and school programs for each Longview ISD school.
 
Dropout Analysis Reports, Briefs, and Graduates
Throughout the state of Texas, school districts report dropout information to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) at the end of the academic year. A dropout is defined as a student who is enrolled in school at some time during the school year but leaves school during the school year without an approved excuse. A dropout is also defined as a student who completes the school year and does not return the following year. 
 
Campus and District Improvement Teams 
 
The Longview Independent School District (LISD) Board of Education established and approved the campus-level planning and decision-making process in 1992. This process includes the creation and maintenance of a Campus Improvement Team (CIT)  at each school to review the district’s educational goals, objectives, and major district wide classroom instructional programs and District Improvement Team (DIT).
 
Student Discipline Report
The purpose of these Student Disciplinary Action Summaries (SDAS) is to provide the number and rate of student disciplinary action reasons that occurred in Longview during the 2009–2010 school year. The reports were created to comply with Senate Bill 1724, as described in Section 39.053 of the Texas Education Code.
