Student registration now a two-part process
"By replacing previous paper practices with an online process, the district is attempting to reduce paper waste, improve accuracy, all while increasing efficiency and saving time for parents as well as staff," said Dr. Jody Clements, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Community Relations.
The two-step process consists of 1.) completing the InfoSnap registration on the Longview ISD website AND 2.) providing your student's campus with the required paperwork for enrollment.
Students must provide proof of residency, which can be a recent utility bill, housing information ( lease, mortgage, or title ), residential property tax record, a testimonial letter from an LISD employee, or an SRQ form indicating MVE status. Up-to-date vaccination records and photo ID of a parent/guardian must also be presented to a campus staffer in person.
Different LISD campuses have different days and times to register. To find out when your student's school is holding registration, please contact your campus directly:
New Students: If you are enrolling a new student to Longview ISD, you will start the process by going to the New Student Online Registration website . There you will create an account and proceed.
2) Whether your student is a new or a returning student, you will need to fill out all of the required fields for your student and then complete all other relevant information on the rest of the online forms. If you are not given the option to submit the online form, you will need to go back and make sure that all required fields are complete.
3) If you are registering more than one student, begin the next child’s pre-registration after submitting the first registration so that you may share common information among those children, which will save you time. If you are not able to complete all of your children's registrations at the same time, you may also log back into the site later on to began a new registration for addition students.
4) Remember to press the “save and submit” button before you leave the site. Note: You MUST complete all required fields before you are able to "save and submit." At the end of the online process, parents are required to provide an electronic signature.
Parents must also provide updated immunization records (if necessary) before school begins and return proof of residency to the campus in August for all students ( current AND new ). Parents of new students will also need to provide the student's proof of identity and Social Security Card.
