Ware Elementary Encourages Students to Make Reading Fun!

Tue Nov 17, 2015
Ware Elementary opened the Ben Carson Reading Room on March 26, 2015. The Ben Carson Reading Project is an initiative of the Carson Scholars Fund. Reading is the single most important educational skill a child will learn. Reading sets the foundation for academic success and lifelong learning.
Monday, November 16th, Ware participated in the 10th Annual Ben Carson Reading Day.
"By taking a day to spotlight reading in a fun and exciting way, we hope to help our students make reading a daily habit," Ware Principal, Sarah Sheppard said. "We encourage you to promote reading in your home, make frequent visits to the public library, express an interest in reading, have books available in your home, read aloud with your child or have him or her read to you."
