The dedication of today's educators is an inspiration to others. The 2016 Regional Awards Ceremony highlighted the high level of responsibility that educators have in providing the time and commitment to serving their students, their district, and their communities.
Sylverlene Williams, the teacher at Forest Park Middle School, is no exception. The "Secondary Teacher of the Year" honoree from Longview ISD was noted from the words written in her "Teacher of the Year" essay:
"Teaching is a humbling experience with the greatest challenges, but it comes with the sweetest rewards," stated Williams.
Williams has been with Longview ISD for seven years; five of which were spent teaching sixth grade English Language Arts.
