    Longview Independent School District trustees unanimously approved an extension of leave and wage payments for employees while public schools are closed, and postponed board election to Nov. 3rd, following a proclamation Gov. Greg Abbott issued on March 18.

    Longview Independent School District has canceled the Senate Bill 1882 Public Charter Schools Community Meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday night at Johnston-McQueen Elementary, upon the recommendation of federal, state, and local authorities advising against group assemblies of more than 50 people.
